I've been a bit obsessed with movies since I was a child. Growing up in a secular home in the 90s, I watched horror and Disney films alike, and loved it all. As a teenager, I met my now husband, Saxon, when I was 15. We grew up together, got baptised together at 18, and married at 22. For the next 8 years, we worked at our local telephone company and travelled the world anytime we could get time off.

Then we decided to embark on our biggest adventure yet, having kids! But we didn't stop there. We also quit our jobs and started a business, and that was 9 years ago. We now have two beautiful kiddos, Hendrix and Nora, and are still running our business today. We are Jesus followers, and our Christian values lead our everyday lives.

Shortly after becoming a Christian, my taste for horror movies changed. I still love action and sci-fi, but I pay close attention to how a movie makes me feel while watching it. If something feels off, it's a pass. Life is too short for movies that don't feed your spirit. Popcorn and Prayers is my little corner of the internet to share the ones that do.
