I went in expecting cute and walked out a little convicted — in the good way. As a mom raising kids in a screen-saturated world, this one named things I think about all the time: how hard fitting in is, how a tablet can quietly crowd out a kid's imagination, and how the chats and feeds meant to connect kids can turn into a highway for bullying. It's still a Toy Story movie — wholesome, funny, big-hearted — but it's saying something worth hearing.

This movie cheers loudest for the things I'm glad to cheer for too — using your imagination, playing for real, and finding the people who actually get you. That last one hit home. It's basically why I started this YouTube channel: trying to connect with people who share my values, my beliefs, and who'll enjoy my personality instead of asking me to shrink it. The film makes that search feel normal and worth it, and it makes a kid choosing creativity over a glowing screen look like the brave, beautiful thing it actually is.

Yes, this one sits easily with me. The flags are the lighter kind — a lot of potty humor, a couple of gags that flirt with a swear word before backing off, and a realistic (sometimes uncomfortable) picture of how mean kids can be online. None of it felt like it was glamorizing anything; if anything the bullying is shown as the wound it is. I'd happily watch it with my kids and use the screen-time and friendship themes as a launchpad for a good conversation.

I walked out grateful and a little re-centered. It reminded me that imagination isn't just a kid thing — we adults need to protect ours too, and put the screens down long enough to make something, dream something, be present. I really enjoyed this one. The feel of it, the wholesomeness, the message — it was well done and a great addition to the Toy Story franchise.
